The watering and climatic Borsec station is situated in the intracarpatic depression with the
same name, at an altitude of 900 m , and a distance of 120 km of Piatra Neamt , 28 km of Toplita, 130 km of Tg. Mures,
220 km of Brasov, 490 km of Bucuresti, 200 km of Iasi. The station is surrounded by a curtain of coniferous forests
which hide it from the cold winds. The mountain chain and the forests which protect the station alleviate the wind’s
speed, purify the air and reduce the sudden temperature variations. The summer months are warm but not hot, short rains
refresh the air. The autumn is very beautiful. Mornings and evenings are chilly but during the day the weather is warm
and sunny. Winters are not so cold like you may expect. The mildly climate is justified through the high altitude at
which our station is situated. Borsec, this corner of heaven from Carpatii Orientali owes it’s fame to the mineral
curetting waters. Natural factors of cure (the microclimate, the air cure, the place cure, the watering cure and
healing waters), and the physiotherapeutic procedures heal or ameliorate nutrition or metabolism illnesses. The

for rest and recreation: it is a real paradise for those who enjoy to make excursions (Poiana Zanelor, the
ice cave, the bears’ cave, Izvorul Stravechi, Cetatea Bufnitelor), for those who like winter sports (on Faget
and Fagetel for beginners and advanced), and even for those who like to fish - they can try their luck in the
waters of Bistricioara or the Bicaz lake, which are near the station. At the end of the week you can enjoy
a walk on the sounds of the fanfare. You have the possibility to make trips around the station: the monasteries
from Moldova (Neamt, Secu, Varatec, Agapia, Durau, Sihastria), the Lazarea Castle, Lacu Rosu, Cheile Bicazului,
the Bicaz lake, the Durau Station: the Praid salt mine, Sovata, the ceramics centre from Corund. So we invite
you too at Borsec! One of the famous visitor of Borsec was Vasile Alecsandri which wrote in 1845 : ‘at Borsec
they all are brothers, if not in Jesus but in mineral water […] one of the most important merits of Borsec
is that it gives people human feelings!’
According to the specialists after the last checking it came out that Borsec has the most fresh air
between all places from Romania .
